The following programs are month specific
Sock Collection for the Cold Weather Shelter


Scouting for Food-food collection for the Boy Scouts’ annual program to collect food for local food bank


Westminster Rescue Mission-each Sunday during the month of May bring in clothes, shoes, purses to be picked up on Monday by the Rescue Mission – some items will be sold in their store, some will be sent to countries where there is a need for clothes and some will go to a plant in Pennsylvania to be recycled.


American Cancer Society Relay for Life Walk at Carroll County Ag Center. Our church will have a team in the walk if we can assemble a 10 person team by March 31st.


National Day of Prayer-Our church will be open on this day during the time when the entire nation is asked to pray


Giving Tree will be placed in the Narthex. You may choose any ornament(s) you wish from the tree for your donation to our Christmas projects
Salvation Army Stockings-fill the stocking with goodies for a child
Salvation Army Angels – purchase a gift from the child’s wish list


Youth Outreach -purchase a gift or make a donation


Sandy Mount Elementary School – purchase a gift or make a donation-we will be providing for 3 families


Safe Haven Residents -make a donation for Safe Haven Teams to purchase gifts


Holiday Bazaar-volunteer to help!!!!!!!!!-although the bazaar is a fund raiser, we like to include it as an outreach activity because we hope to show those who visit our church the love of Christ.


Thanksgiving baskets for Sandymount School-we will be filling food baskets for 3 families


Safe Haven Christmas Party-our Church sponsors a party for the residents­-we use the money allocated in our budget to purchase foods for a luncheon/party and grab bag gifts, we play games and sing carols, the residents receive the gifts from their wish list purchased for them with your donations to the Giving Tree
The following programs are ongoing throughout the year.

SERRV: Work at the Serrv Center in New Windsor, MD the first Tuesday of each month


Safe Haven Shelter: A team visits the shelter each Thursday of the month to provide dinner and fellowship with the residents.


Chipmunk Connection: Through our liaison person continue an ongoing dialogue to assure we are supportive of each other in our various programs.


Gas Cards: Our budget provides $20 gas cards that are distributed by the office staff to those who call on our church with urgent situations


Good Samaritan Food Box: A box of food is kept in the office for those who seek assistance from our church


Imagine No Malaria: We have committed to the Baltimore Washington Conference that we will raise $1500/yearly for the next 3 years to support “Imagine No Malaria” – this will be done through fund raisers and special offerings

Global Mission: Provide $2500 for the year to support a missionary. The money for missionary support comes from our budget.
Assisted Living Home: Visit “Country Acres” on the 3rd Thursday of each month bringing a message, hymn sing, and a treat.

Health Resources: Sponsor Red Cross Blood Drives. Other health related programs may be offered throughout the year.



Youth Adopt a Road: Youth clean a portion of Old Westminster Pike twice a year.


Community Jamboree: A day of games, food, and fun for the entire community every other year


Other programs may be added as needs are recognized.
